Location: A/P/A Institute
41-51 East 11th St., 7th Floor
New York City
A/P/A Institute invites all Peeling alumni, friends and supporters to contribute materials for an archive of materials related to Peeling. This will be fully accessible and open to the public and community at Tamiment Library , part of New York University. Archive materials will include, but are not limited to: scripts, photos, videos, press releases, programs, workshop notes, etc.
An integral part of Asian American community history, Peeling (NYC, 1999-2005) shares a history and overlapping memberships with Peeling the Banana (NYC, 1995-1999) and several other Asian American groups in the 1990s and 2000s throughout the country. While this archive will be launched to focus on Peeling, it is our hope to potentially expand to and/or link with other archives for these corresponding groups in the future. If you are interested in contributing your materials, please contact us below.
Please respond to firstname.lastname@example.org with your current contact info and interest in:
– submitting materials
– attending the April 17 gathering at A/P/A Institute
– helping out with the Archive or the gathering
– any questions you may have about any of this!
And please forward this to other Peelers you are in touch with,
or let us know contact info for folks who may not have received this.
Coming soon… look for us on Facebook!
