(Re)Collecting the Vietnam War, a special issue of The Asian American Literary Review, asks artists, writers, and thinkers to contemplate the lasting legacies of the Vietnam War / American War for Southeast Asian diasporic communities. On November 11, 2015, coeditor Cathy J. Schlund-Vials (University of Connecticut Departments of English and Asian and Asian American Studies) and contributors Anida Yoeu Ali (performance artist, Studio Revolt), Viet Thanh Nguyen (The Sympathizer), Monique Truong (Bitter in the Mouth), Thuy Linh Tu (NYU Department of Social & Cultural Analysis), and Ocean Vuong (Night Sky With Exit Wounds) presented selections from the issue.
