Pacific Island Film Festival 2025
Co-sponsored by the Asian/Pacific/American Institute at NYU.
The Pacific Island Film Festival (PIFF) of New York City is dedicated to telling a richer, more comprehensive story of the Pacific Islands. PIFF endeavors to be a platform for indigenous Pacific Island voices to be heard and recognized—celebrating, showcasing and cultivating the stories, art, talent and cultural resources of the Pacific Islands with the broader New York community.
This year’s festival presents feature length films and shorts by filmmakers from across the Pacific including Bati (dir. Andrew John Fakaua Ponton) and Kōkā (dir. Kath Akuhata-Brown).
