Vietnamese Boat People (VBP) is honored to present Our Journeys, a traveling exhibition debuting in New York City, to commemorate the fiftieth anniversary of the Fall of Saigon, a pivotal moment for the Vietnamese diaspora community.
Our Journeys is inspired by interviews and content generated by the Vietnamese Boat People podcast and programs. It is developed around the core concept that a story passed down is a gift—something given to another with intention and without obligation. For a community whose stories have often been told by others, this traveling exhibition seeks to forefront the Vietnamese diaspora as narrators of their own story and as it travels, to educate broader audiences on the Vietnamese diaspora experience. As a touring exhibition, Our Journeys is a traveling portal to, and catalyst for, community-building and dialogue.
A partial display of the exhibition will remain on view at Think!Chinatown’s Studio through Sunday, January 18, 2026.
Accessibility note: The gallery is located on the first floor, and is equipped with a ramp to the entrance door. There is an all gender restroom. If you have any access needs, please sophia@vietnameseboatpeople.org.
