APALA invites you to its 13th Biennial Convention: Organizing in Solidarity, Building One Vision Forward. The national APALA convention, which will take place in San Diego, California, will provide workers and allies an opportunity to engage in lively and uplifting debate to advance worker, immigrant, and civil rights, linking generations of activists in support of social, racial, and economic justice. The conference will examine anti-blackness and APIs’ role in the Black Lives Matter movement, the interconnectedness of labor and immigration, and the fight against corporate greed and privatization.
In partnership with ASPIRE Los Angeles, APALA is mobilizing undocumented API immigrants to strategize on how undocumented APIs and the labor movement can work collaboratively to strengthen the immigrant rights and labor movements.
