This April, Hibakusha (those who survived the US bombings of Hiroshima and Nagsaki) from Nihon Hidankyo, a Japanese organization of atomic bomb survivors which has been nominated for The Nobel Peace Prize 2015, will be visiting New York to attend the 2015 Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons (NPT) Review Conference at the United Nations.

Please join us in welcoming them to the A/P/A Institute at NYU on Thursday, April 30. Two Hibakusha will share personal testimony and reflections centered around their experiences during the 1945 bombings and their destructive aftermaths. A Japanese/English translator will be in attendance.
