Join NYU Trans Awareness Week for a conversation with model, producer, and activist Geena Rocero about her powerful new memoir, Horse Barbie: A Memoir (Penguin Random House, 2023). Horse Barbie takes readers on a journey through Rocero’s life—exploring her experiences as a transgender woman, her Filipino heritage, and the profound impact of self-discovery on her path to authenticity. This event will not only be an exploration of Rocero’s personal journey, but also a celebration of the culture and resilience of Filipino LGBTQ+ communities.
