UPDATE: Due to the approaching blizzard, this program (originally scheduled for January 27) has been rescheduled for Tuesday, April 7.

Presented by the NYU Center for Multicultural Education & Programs. Co-sponsored by the Asian/Pacific/American Institute at NYU and NYU LGBTQ Student Center.

Kit Yan, a Brooklyn-based slam poet from Hawai’i, performs theatrical slam poetry pieces about his life as a queer, transgender Asian American through stories about family, love, and social justice. Bitch Magazine has said, “the eloquence of Kit’s spoken-word delivery lies in the anti-racist, anti-homophobic, gender-inclusive, language that ties his lyrics together.” Yan’s performance will be followed by a Q&A.
