Award-winning author and scholar Meena Alexander reads from Atmospheric Embroidery, a haunting collection of poems that “travels through zones of violence to reach the crystalline depth of words” (Northwestern University Press, 2018), and discusses Name Me a Word: Indian Writers Reflect on Writing (Yale University Press, 2018), an anthology which brings together the voices of twentieth- and twenty-first century writers from India and the diaspora.
Alexander will be in conversation with Professor Rajeswari Sunder Rajan, and discussants, Julia Claire Catalano and Rajgopal Saikumar. The event will be followed by a book sale and signing.
