- Venue:
- Address: New York, NY United States

The annual Immigrant Youth Empowerment Conference (IYECon) is an all day conference which aims to empower all youths and their families, regardless of their immigration status, by providing access to concrete resources and tools to organize within their communities. Our theme for this year’s conference, Redefining Success, challenges conventional perceptions of success: what does it mean to be undocumented and successful? Can we reimagine success as a collective concept, to redefine success as engaging and uplifting our communities?
Community organizers, educators, and lawyers will lead a series of workshops, forums, and consultations. Opal Tometi (Executive Director, Black Alliance for Just Immigration and co-founder, #BlackLivesMatter) will deliver a keynote address.
Co-sponsored by the Asian/Pacific/American Institute at NYU.
