The 46th Asian American International Film Festival (AAIFF46), known as the “First Home of Asian American Cinema,” runs from July 26-August 6, 2023 in New York City as a hybrid festival, both in-person and streaming online in North America.
This year’s festival will feature sixteen world premieres, twenty-one east coast premieres, and twenty New York premieres. The films represent a total of twenty-nine countries and twenty-five languages. This year’s program includes 111 directors.
Established in 1978 by Asian CineVision, the Asian American International Film Festival is the nation’s first and longest running festival of its kind and the premier showcase for the best independent Asian, Asian diaspora, and Pacific Islander cinema. AAIFF is committed to film and media as a tool for social change and to supporting diversity and inclusion in the media arts.
