New York, NY 10012
Co-presented by the NYU Center for Multicultural Education & Programs and the Asian/Pacific/American Institute at NYU.
Asian/Pacific American student groups and leaders are invited to participate in a meaningful intra-communal dialogue about the construction of A/PA as both a political and identity category, with specific attention to its continually shifting nature in hopes of strengthening foundations for cross-collaborative partnerships on campus. Participants will have the opportunity to engage in personal reflection activities to think through A/PA as a category with both individual and collective resonance, and to consider questions around solidarity, Indigeneity, whiteness and anti-Blackness, complexities within A/PA identity, and the challenges of on-campus organizing.
