The Hālāwai Film Festival (HFF), a platform for Indigenous Pacific Island voices in New York, runs from October 28-29, 2023.
The inaugural Hālāwai Film Festival will feature speakers, performances, and screenings that showcase the talent of Pacific Island filmmakers, including screenings of award-winning films Waikiki (2020), The Wind and the Reckoning (2022), and more. Presented across several film venues in Manhattan, HFF is dedicated to broadening horizons by telling richer stories of the Pacific Islands beyond the common experiences of visitors and tourists.
