Regie Cabico will edit an anthology on Asian American poetry inspired by Fay Chiang’s literary work contained in the writer’s papers at the NYU Tamiment Library & Robert F. Wagner Labor Archives.

Regie Cabico is a spoken-word pioneer and the first Asian American and Queer poet to win the Nuyorican Poetry Cafe Grand Slam. Cabico is the recipient of a New York Innovative Theater Award for his work in Too Much Light Makes The Baby Go Blind aka The Infinite Wrench and appeared on The Poet Speaks, NPR’s Snap Judgement, TEDx Talk, and HBO’s Def Poetry Jam. He is the author of A Rabbit in Search of a Rolex and other Hyperboles, Mysteries, Parables and Fantasias (Day Eight Book, 2003). Cabico was an A/P/A Institute at NYU artist-in-residence and is the current executive director of A Gathering of the Tribes.
