By donating to A/P/A Institute at NYU, you will support vital programs and archives-building efforts to promote and make accessible scholarship and collections related to A/P/A studies and history. Your donation enables students to conduct exciting research projects; artists to present exhibitions; faculty to organize interdisciplinary projects; and staff to create meaningful opportunities for community and audience engagement.

Donation Tiers
The Asian/Pacific/American Institute at NYU greatly appreciates your support at any level. Whether $50, $250, $5,000, or $10,000, one hundred percent of any contribution you make will go towards the Institute’s work. Here is what your donation can support:
Friend (up to $500)
A donation at this level allows us to sponsor an NYU student club event.
Supporter ($501 to $1,000)
A donation at this level can support an artist or scholar’s visit to A/P/A.
Patron ($1,001 to $5,000)
A donation at this level can cover installation costs for a visual art exhibition.
Benefactor ($5,001 to $10,000)
A donation at this level can cover the cost of digitizing a moving image archive.
Giving Circle ($10,001 to $15,000)
A donation at this level can help sponsor our annual A/P/A Graduate Student Symposium.
Silver Leader ($15,001 to $25,000)
A donation at this level can help sponsor the Graduate Scholar in A/P/A Archives for one year.
Gold Leader ($25,001 and up)
A donation at this level can sponsor an A/P/A Institute Artist-in-Residence.
Donation FAQs
Will my donation be utilized solely for the A/P/A Institute?
Yes, by contributing via any of the three methods above, your donation will go directly to the A/P/A Institute at NYU.
Can I designate a specific area of the A/P/A Institute that I’d like my donation to support?
No, but rest assured that we will apply it where it is most needed. If you’d like to make a special request, please contact us at apa.institute@nyu.edu.
Will I receive a tax-deductible receipt for my donation?
Yes, if contributing online, a receipt will be emailed to you; if contributing via mail, a receipt will be mailed to you at the address you provide.
Purchases for merchandise from the online store are not tax-deductible, but donations added before check-out are, and a receipt will be emailed to you.
