Co-sponsored by the Asian/Pacific/American Institute at NYU and Postcolonial\, Race\, and Diaspora Studies Colloquium. \nREGISTER \nProfessor Lauren Nilsson-Siu delivers a lecture entitled\, “Cultural Appropriation\, Cultural Authenticity and the Diasporic South Asian/Australian Experience(s) of Multiculturalism.” Nilsson-Siu (NYU Sydney) specializes in critical race and ethnic studies. Her research broadly explores intersections of race\, diaspora\, affect and Australian multiculturalism. Her upcoming monograph Reclaiming the Bindi: Cultural Appropriation\, Indo Chic\, and the South Asian Diaspora is slated for release with Illinois University Press in 2027. The lecture will be followed by a Q&A and discussion. \n  \nNYU campus access guidelines: This is an in-person event\, open to the public.
